Each dance class offered at IDA meets once a week for an hour. Tuition for our dance classes is $100.00 per term and our terms are 8-weeks long.
There is a ONE TIME registration fee for each IDA class of $15.00 (this covers the cost of each student's IDA T-shirt).
Students enrolled in dance classes should come to class with proper shoes (i.e. tap or jazz shoes), leotards, and athletic shorts/pants. Students should have hair neatly pulled back.
Work with Disney musicals to learn the fundamentals of theatre dance. Dance to songs from Disney favorites like Hercules, Moana, and Beauty and the Beast to strengthen posture and alignment while developing confidence, coordination, and creative physical expression.
Become the dancer that every musical theatre director dreams of! Learn the basic fundamentals of what makes a great all-around dancer! Students will learn basic technique from various styles of dance such as: ballet, lyrical, jazz & tap. Students will learn these techniques through musical theatre productions like Waitress, Les Miserables, Newsies & more!
Delve into a rich dance experience to strengthen dance vocabulary, technique, and performance skills. Tackle challenging and iconic choreographic styles from standout musical theatre like A Chorus Line, Hamilton, and Chicago.

Classes take place once a week for an hour and are created to help build each individual students confidence and help them reach their full potential in the world of performing arts.
Set sail in your own dramatic adventure. Start a wild rumpus and watch as the walls of the drama room turn into a world where anything is possible. Be inspired to use your imagination and explore the characters and world’s in some of the most well known and loved children’s books. Create your own adventures adventures and other crazy and wild characters using improvisation techniques and your own wild imagination.
***Please Note, students enrolled in this course must be potty trained
Students will learn the basic foundational building blocks of acting and theatre. Students will begin to develop definitive and expressive physicality for a variety of characters/settings as well as the different uses of the voice. Through improvisation and short scenes, use those skills to take risks, make strong character choices, develop character relationships, and pursue objective
Develop trust and a strong group dynamic through a variety of exercises and experiences designed to challenge your improvisation and acting skills. Extend your vocal and physical skills through a series of traditional and contemporary drama experiences. Work with your team to solve problems and to think on your feet. At the end of the Term, students will each perform monologues for a informal performance at IDA.
